Just two good old boys, never meanin' no harm~

As we progress with the development of Trillian Astra, we wanted take a moment to explain the current state of affairs here at Cerulean Studios with regard to monetization, how Pro subscriptions will work with Trillian Astra, and where we’re headed in the coming months. There will be no new Astra build this week. (more…)

The sexy Build 41 has arrived, strutting around with it’s beautiful new Vista-compatible icon and embarrassing the tiny shortcut icons of the competition. :) If you wish your wallpaper were as energetic as the wallpaper featured here, the answer is only a click away.

This week, we fixed iTunes support and a few new Yahoo! bugs on our way to ironing out more of YMSG15. We also spent much of this week working on some cool new features that aren’t finished yet, but should hopefully be arriving within the next few builds. Lastly, it’s finally sunny and warm in Brookfield – hooray. Enjoy the build.

Build 40

Is now available. Bugfixes and a handsome new theme: Baroque! We hope you enjoy the new build. Please remember to avoid black cats and deranged serial killers in hockey masks for the remainder of the day.

Build 39: An interoperable paradise.

Yahoo! got an upgrade this week. We tried to resolve as many of the outstanding Yahoo! issues in Bugzilla this week as we could, including bugs and features. This also means that you can now communicate with MSN Messenger users using your Yahoo! username and Trillian – yay. Some of the specifics include:

  • Continued enhancements to file transfer code.
  • Proper support for stealth lists (and “un”stealthing when you’re invisible)
  • We finally save your away status on Yahoo! between reconnects. Ugh.
  • Support for the server-side ignore list, meaning you can easily block non-contacts who bother you.
  • The corresponding protocol upgrades – we are now speaking reasonably fluent YMSG15. Keep your eyes peeled for things that don’t work!

We’ll be making a similar upgrade to the MSN engine before the end of our alpha cycle. We’ve also made a few changes to the skin and icons in response to your feedback last week – a greener ICQ icon, handsome new alert icons, and a few more goodies for Vista users!

Enjoy your weekend. I know I won’t.

It was a great Trillian Meetup!

Trillian Meetup 2007 in NYC - Group Photo

Thanks to everyone who came all the way to New York City to attend our Trillian Meetup! A good number of Trillianites showed up in Bryant Park as we shared ideas about plugin development, office humor, mobile phones, the future of Trillian, telepresence and more.

Everyone who attended received a complimentary limited edition Trillian t-shirt, and an invite to join the alpha test of Trillian Astra!
