Build 74 is now available. A special thanks to all of the users who are actively contributing to the language packs; we’ve updated the packs yet again with all of the latest changes as of sometime this morning! We’re also continuing to tweak the new tabbed containers in response to some of the issues that have been raised so far. Finally, some of our widgets received an update this week – the weather widget has some cool new options and will cycle temperature display in Celsius.

Build 73 now lists all the languages that are more than 25% complete in our translation wiki (26 Languages so far, not including English!). So dive in and help out with the translation effort!

Drag-and-drop creation of tabs is also supported in Build 73. We are continuing to monitor your feedback on the new tabbed containers and will be making further tweaks and enhancements as necessary.

While video work is in progress in the other department, Build 72 polishes up one of the oldest new features in Astra – the tabbed container. While the previous tabbed container was a slight update of 3.0, this finalized version features tabs that can be reordered by dragging, new message alerts and a more refined look.

Note: You can currently only form a new container using the “Group Message Windows together according to Contact List groups”. We will introduce new methods to create tabbed containers in a future build.

We spent this week working on a few things on our internal lists that did not result in a full build.  We may or may not have a build ready for next week depending on progress – at this point our goal is to finish up a few things related to video conferencing before we release the next build.  That goal may change and we’ll be sure to update you here if it does, but we wanted to keep the testing team in the loop.  Enjoy your weekends and we’ll be back with a new build as soon as we can!

Build 71 is a minor bugfix build. Additionally, we’ve updated the “Add Contact” panel in the Cordonata skin (Cobalt to follow) to include a built-in group chooser and, when supported, the ability to specify a “Reason” when adding a contact. Certain networks (Astra, ICQ, Yahoo) support this.

The rest of the week was spent working on infrastructure for video calls both client-side and server-side; work will continue on this front and the results are looking very nice so far! We’ll update with more information as soon as we’re able to.  Enjoy the build.
