Today we’re happy to announce the marking of Build 117 as a gold version of Trillian Astra. Thousands of Trillian users are already relying on Astra as their day-to-day communications tool, many major bugs and crashes have been resolved, and we’re very pleased with the overall stability and functionality of the product! Trillian Astra is available as a free download, and our Pro version sells for $25, or $10 for upgrading customers. Our new store is online, and we’re also proud to stand behind our 30-day refund policy for any dissatisfied customer.

We want to thank all of our beta testers and customers for their support over the past few years. It’s been a long road for us all and we couldn’t have built Trillian without your support and passion for the product. We hope you continue to enjoy Trillian as much as we continue to enjoy building it, and look forward to getting back to work on exciting improvements and feature requests for Trillian 4.1 and beyond! New versions of the iPhone and Web clients have been released – Trillian for iPhone Build 272 and Trillian for Web Build 621. We’ve been making minor tweaks to the iPhone version – nothing changelog-worthy – but this build is a required update. Although we try to avoid forcing updates on iPhone users, a minor tweak to our backend protocol made this upgrade a forced update. Please use the original download link in your invitation to update your device and let us know if you see any issues. Enjoy!

Build 116 is going out to all testers this morning. Additionally, we wanted to take a minute to bring a few exciting projects brewing in the community forums to your attention.

Avion Pro: A very cool new skin from Insomnautik and Scream81! Check it out on our forums here, or go directly to the deviantART download page here. Many months of effort have been put into this excellent skin and we urge you all to check it out and see what you think!

Iconpack Selector: A standalone utility built by community members DiamondNRG and Scream81 to easily change your icon packs within Trillian – more information can be found on our forums here. This is something we need to build directly into Trillian ourselves, but in the meantime the community has built a solution for you! If you find yourself swapping out icon packs or preferring a different style of icons than those we provide by default, take a look at this utility – it’s much easier than editing files by hand in our skinning language.
