January 18th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Updated. Thanks.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
nice … but the supertooltip-bug has not been fixxed completely. just put your mouse on a contact and press windows+d …
January 18th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Yes, but what ARE the bug fixes?
January 18th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
hooray, no more flashy desktop icons when using viewing contact info -_-
January 18th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
marvellous
January 18th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
i didnt notice that trillian have a plugin for skype too?!?
January 18th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
ARGH!!
Yet another release that screwed my skins up.
Time to reconfigure again.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
I still notice an issue where if I add a widget (weather) and then try to remove it, it causes a crash.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
jeah… eliminating bugs is always a good reason for a new update!
Feels like you got the point….
January 18th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
Thank you for the delay on the contact pop-ups and even if its up and I move my mouse away very quickly the contact info pop-up disappears. Thanks you again!!!!!
January 18th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Nice. It crached for me after I installed, but i hope it will be good… Go, trillian!
January 18th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Good.
1. I see the contact popup appearing a bit slower and disappearing when it should!
. Thanks. It was annoying.
2. Changing the skin still caused a crash.
3. Still no history on chat initiated by contacts. Chat history appears only if I initiate the chat.
But I will take it for #1. Go Trillian! Is anybody getting invites for Mac?
January 18th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Not sure if this is a bug and have not seen it reported on the blog but when I add a weather widget to my contact list and exit Trillian and then re-start the widget does not return. Anyone else have this or any ideas of what to check.
Thanks
January 18th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Great ! & Thx !
January 18th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Still refuses to connect to MSN and Yahoo for me
Anyone else have this issue? I’ve had the problem in the last two builds.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
> We continue to push towards finalization of all remaining required features
> as we simultaneously fix a handful of bugs
For the love of GOD why can’t it be the other way round
Fix all the bugs FIRST!
Add all the stupid new features that nobody has asked for LATER!
please please *PLEASE*
January 18th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
@CrunchyFerrett
Every release screws up my skins. But this time when I switched back to Cobalt, Minimial, it crashed.

Indeed… I was just wondering the same thing. If so, where can I get it??
January 18th, 2008 at 4:45 pm
once again a fantastic build. just reopened the bug about InfoCard. I would like to talk a bit about the delay at bugzilla…
Nice Work Guys!!!
Enjoy you Weekend…hopefully we’ll see you again on next friday!
January 18th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
And yet the MSN Email widget bug still presists..
Is this one so hard that you can’t figure it out, or so easy you don’t care?
January 18th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Tekguru: MSN connection is still messed up for me. Yahoo is OK. My MSN connect has been bad for many weeks now. I pretty much gave up on it.

“[Contact List] Options to have “Super tooltips” appear after X amount of seconds/only after clicking contact”
I have looked over all options twice but can’t seem to find that one.. Can anyone help me out? I’m SOOO hoping I can turn off those irritating tooltips now.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
@Blizz: just look at the forums, there’s already a discussion about that!
January 18th, 2008 at 5:23 pm
Hmm, why is the voice chat tab showing up for me under one of my AIM contacts windows???
Bug or support?
January 18th, 2008 at 5:31 pm
“Is anybody getting invites for Mac?”
Nope
January 18th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
Yes, please allow us to disable the giant tooltips!

Big bug with this build (I think so), old connections have been removed and Trillian refuses to create new ones, I’ve deleted all the Trillian folder in application data, and then reinstalled the build. The result is: I can create a connection, but when I close and restart Trillian, the connection is gone and cannot create a new one, unless I remove the connection ini file from application data>Trillian…
January 18th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
I nearly forgot,…this problem it’s applicable on all services: yahoo, msn, google, icq…
January 18th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
Cuprohastes – Click on the very first 2 words of the entry “Build 69″ it is a link to the text file of changes, it is always this way.
WoppyWush – It is to fix an issue with using the SkyLlian plugin that is a remote control for the Skype client. No native Skype plugin exists or is even possible.
Ragtimer – Remember, this is alpha, it is not for bug fixing, but yes, sometimes a little cleanup is necessary to continue adding things.
nmg196 – FOR THE LOVE OF GOD (just wanted to be cool like you) please learn the difference between a private alpha test for adding features and a public beta test for squashing bugs. Thanks.
Blizz – See above comment about Skype and SkyLlian.
Gahgah – I replied to your bugzilla entry, I disagree 100%.
geterry – If it is super important to you, voice your concerns in bugzilla. There is no preset order in which they fix bugs.

I haven’t been able to successfully connect to MSN since Build 58 (eeks!). Every time a new Trillian build is issued, I have to backstep my msn.dll file to the Build 58 version in order to continue using the program. Anyone else running into this??
January 18th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
acousticrand : Thanks for that – back to MSN Messenger then

supertooltip-bug is still not fixed!
January 18th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
=/ it won’t let me log in =///
January 18th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
Joenas, what is wrong with it? It still won’t go away for you? Being specific helps a lot.
January 18th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
If Trillian doesn’t connect and deletes the connections, there is some help:
Just use a legal copy!
With the old cracks, trillian has exactly THIS problems.(Read in the gulli board)
January 18th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
I am having an issue with the last 3 builds of Astra – I now am getting a crash on startup. I uninstalled Astra, deleted the directories and did a fresh install – still crashes – anyone else having this issue. it appears to be corrupt data on the server – failure occurs right after the server login – hard to test if I cannot run the program

First of all, I have no problems connecting to M$N, and it seems quite a few people are able to connect just fine. That means there’s something unusual about your computer or your network that’s causing it not to work. Figure out what it is and submit a bug report! How else are they supposed to fix it?
Second, because you’ve decided to mix-n-match DLLs, you’re defeating the ENTIRE PURPOSE of the alpha test! They can’t accept ANY bug reports from you because they don’t know if those bugs are real, or if they’re caused by you playing with the DLLs.
January 19th, 2008 at 12:20 am
Love the new links above the comment box
Thanks for bug fixes, Trillian!
January 19th, 2008 at 2:30 am
It would have been nice for c.s. to have mentioned which bug fixes were focused on in this build. Either way thanx for the build, keep up the good work and have a good weekend everyone.
January 19th, 2008 at 6:22 am
there has always been a changelog, including the fixed bugs. just click on the first two words auf this blog entry “Build 69″…
January 19th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Gahgah thanx i never noticed that before.
January 19th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Way back when, a year ago, when I got accepted into the alpha, part of the e-mail stated (I still have it):
“In order to ensure you’re able to test the build with your friends, you will all be receiving “invites” to send out to a fixed number of your friends and family in the coming weeks.”
Well, it’s been 52 weeks, and I’ve still yet to see these invites materialize.
January 19th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
I know I can use the direct URL to download the current release, but I thought I’d make mention that I wasn’t auto-notified of the update. I’ve even explicitly asked Astra to check and it says I’m up-to-date when I am running Build 68. Once again I have the tip-off that my Astra contact will not connect. That saves me from constantly checking the blog for updates at least.
Am I (mostly) alone in not receiving the update notification?
January 19th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
z3razerviper … There are no options for the infocards. The name is misleading because the person entered the bug in bugzilla with that name. The changelog has always just listed the bugs by name, you need to go to the bug to read what was specifically changed.
January 20th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
trillianastra.com is not working in any browsers for me except Safari. I’ve tried in Opera 9.5, Firefox 3 and IE7. I’m not sure what the problem is, but they never make it past the logging in phase.
I like the changelog! Looks good.

I still have errors connecting to yahoo audio chat. I can hear the other party but they cannot hear me. Audio settings are fine on PC and they work on yahoo messenger, except Trillian. Any ideas?
January 21st, 2008 at 5:50 am
tinuzzo: i’d suggest to go to the forums to discuss the issue, you’ll get some answers and help there more probably than here (the blog comments are *not* a support forum): http://forums.ceruleanstudios.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71

“If it is super important to you, voice your concerns in bugzilla. There is no preset order in which they fix bugs.”
I have voiced my concerns at bugzilla, as have several other users. This is not a new issue.. It’s been on bugzilla since the first time I noticed it, at least. Which was around build 52 or so.
January 22nd, 2008 at 1:58 am
geterry – Then you did everything you are supposed to. Now you just need to be patient, the concentration is on adding features, so while some bugs are getting fixed, most of them will likely not get fixed until after Astra is feature complete.
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:34 am
I just formatted my computer and as a result no longer have the original email which had my trillian astra username/password. How can i retrieve this?

Ok, is the webcam functionality not built in yet, or am I just too foolish to figure out how to activate it?
January 22nd, 2008 at 8:26 pm
The only A/V part in right now is Audio chat on Yahoo.
January 22nd, 2008 at 9:35 pm
There continues to be a couple google talk bugs.
1.) If you are in a chat window and the person you are talking to signs on/off it will show up as “[20:22] *** “gmail.87D4BC5B” signed on at Tue Jan 22 20:22:30 2008.” instead of as their normal google talk name or email address.
2.) If you are in the chat window with a person and they sign off, then you try to send them a message it comes up as duplicate messages from you and seemingly from the other person to you that has just signed off. For example:
—–xxxxx signs off from google talk——
Eurostar: hey whats up
xxxxx: hey whats up
Eurostar: whats going on?
xxxxx: whats going on?
3.) Google talk windows don’t show up at the previous location and size even if you have that option checked in Astra.
January 23rd, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Any one been having issues with the graphics in this latest version?
January 23rd, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Bryan, can you be just a TAD more specific?
January 23rd, 2008 at 1:32 pm
Eurostar, did you make sure all of those are in bugzilla?
I know item #1 is because that is how GoogleTalk actually references your resource (which location your signed in on) … I think maybe they might want to make it look more friendly though, but that might be planned. In Jabber you can name resources, GoogleTalk doesn’t allow that so it is kind of ugly.
January 23rd, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Diamond;
You know that i can not be specific, i must stay cryptic & ellusive, & not make sense. Or else how would i get that Pharoah noob to read anything? JF
Umm, well i think that it was Astra acting up with a certain web page that i was at. But my astra windows would either have transparent pieces, or blank spaces, where there should have either been data, or other graphics. Example, the message pane would be transparent & you could see what ever was behind it. Any text typed would not show up or would be displayed as | ||| || || |||| & so on.
But a simple closing of the browser & cleaning of cookies & astra restart seems to have cleared it up.
January 23rd, 2008 at 9:03 pm
I would recommend you all to post in the forums or Bugzilla for bugs. The forums allow threaded replies and posting screenshots, and you can get a lot more replies than here, which you can’t really follow through the whole conversation. It’s like two audiences keep raising hands in a Q&A session replying each other. Also, joining the forums give you great friends.
January 23rd, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Now sure if anyone else gets this, but when I new person try to adds me to there list (ICQ)
I have to switch to user info to get the option to add or not
The 3 buttons are all blank!!
I assume the left one is “Yes”, middle ‘NO’, right “Cancel”
On a side note the add-on for the logitech G15 keyboard crash astra
As for bugzilla, I can’t make heads or tails on how to look up an error let alone post one on it.
January 23rd, 2008 at 10:31 pm
DS2k … you can use the forums instead of Bugzilla, there is a forum called “Astra Bugs” and the top post in it is a template of how to report a bug.
The bug you are reporting happens on all mediums and the buttons are suppossed to read “Approve” “Deny” “Ignore”.
January 25th, 2008 at 10:24 am
@Tekguru – I gave up on this ages ago, I’ve had the MSN problem since build 58, I logged it in the forum and on bugzilla, I think they don’t care!
January 25th, 2008 at 11:29 am
@Ben … that is just silly. It is alpha software, there is promise to it working all the time or ever, or what order bugs get fixed in.
You did the first half , you reported it in bugzilla, the second half is to patiently wait. Do note you should have another client (like 3.1) installed anyways for when you need to have a stable client.
