Trillian for iPhone Build 268, Trillian for Web Build 599.
Two new updates today – Trillian for iPhone Build 268 and Trillian for Web Build 599. Testers for the web version should be automatically upgraded the next time they login to the service, and iPhone users should use the download link in their invitation email to grab the latest build. We’ve been busy fixing crashes and tweaking both clients according to your suggestions and reports, and we hope you enjoy this latest batch of updates. The iPhone client has also received a few language packs – thanks to everyone who contributed on our language site! If you notice a translation that you’d like to improve, feel free to join the effort!
Coming up next is a minor Win32 update, Build 112. As always, look for the latest and greatest news here on our blog.
iPhone testers: the provision file has been updated in 268! Don’t forget to re-install it by following the original instructions in the README file or the build won’t run!

Thanks for the update

Is it possible to add an option, like in the win32client, to change the fontsize of the chatmessages?
That would be pretty helpful, because I’m partially sighted
Thanks!

Something I noticed is that not all of my “offline contacts” show up. I didn’t count, but it stopped displaying anything beyond the M’s in my contact list.
The contact list also doesn’t show people who are “busy” under Google Talk. I’m not sure if that’s a setting, but I can see the same contacts on Gchat through the Gmail interface.
Regardless, I really like the web client and I’d much rather use it than Meebo. Keep up the great work!

Any chance of there being any more iPhone/iPod Touch tester slots?

@purple, the limit is impossed by Apple….pretty sure they can’t change it.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the day when more invitations for testing the iPhone and OS X go out. Keep up the good work.

Bahhh – I upgraded to the 3Gs, so my UDID has changed since my initial bug report during the iphone beta application.
Look forward to helping out, or getting my greedy mitts on the final release. Nice job thus far.

Seems like there may be some minor issues or/and updates going on with the web version… Let’s see what happens.

Hi there,
why you cannot use the Astra web client outside the Firefox 3.5 browser?!?
I want to use the webclient on my desktop without the need of an webbrowser, as Cerulean Studios announced..! -.-
regards,
PSchuetz
July 10th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
They never announced you could do that, they tested a version being able to pop it out of the browser like that, it was not released or announced to be released. It might NEVER happen.

Ha, they claimed, that what they are now presenting with there actual web client, is old and antiquated!
They say a modern webclient does it better, look here: http://blog.ceruleanstudios.com/?p=101 and here: http://blog.ceruleanstudios.com/?p=104
Quote: “There are, however, some obvious flaws in web-based applications”
The actual presentation of the webclient and that for an birthday surprise and present, is oldfashioned and laughable in my eyes.
(For that long development, preparation and secret-mongering..!)
Nothing new here! They might have released and make it available for over a year ago, already..(In that shape)
regards,
PSchuetz

This is great.. .Now can you get someone to look at the email inbox that the order problems, or to read your support tickets. I’ve been sitting over a week with -no- answer from anyone and if I don’t hear a response as soon as possible, I’m going to do a chargeback at paypal for -all- money spent on your site. I’ve been a loyal customer for -years- and am truly disappointed in your customer service at this point.

roobelle: You sent your request to an email address that we don’t use and it was filtered into a spam folder (along with several hundred pieces of spam per day). I sent a reply to get more information from you.
Sorry for the trouble.

Any more invites going out for the iPhone or/and Mac version?
July 13th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
@iksg… apple puts limits on the number of spots for the iPhone beta… CS can’t add more until its released.
The OSX is not public yet to test at all and from the sounds of it, it sounds like it won’t be until the iPhone version is done.
July 14th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
Hey guys, am I the only one unable to actually download the latest version? Tried absolutely everything to no avail, something about a ’size mismatch’ of sorts… will try again later tonight, might just be the server having a hissy fit.

when release candidate will be available,wh can donwload Mac os version too?
July 20th, 2009 at 6:41 pm
@tricke … no … the Win32 client going to RC mode has nothing to do with OSX which is not even to beta yet.
July 21st, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Great.
Now how about giving those of us who PAID to support ASTRA BETA access to the iPhone edition. We paid for a BETA because we like the program and support the company. We should have been the FIRST PEOPLE INVITED. Not some random first 100 who signed up.
July 22nd, 2009 at 4:45 pm
Captiosus, and then how about those of us that paid while it wasn’t even out to show our support access prior to people like you who wine about paying for one product and not getting another different product for free?
Either way, it doesn’t matter the spots are gone, and they are close to being ready to release it anyways.
